POSIDONIA 2008 June 02-06,2008

KEI joined in POSIDONIA2008 held in Athens, Greece from June 2nd to 6th in 2008.
This is the 21st exhibition which is so large-scale that more than 16000 people visited in 2006.
We KEI exhibited at POSIDONIA2008 for the first time.

When we arrived at Greece far from Japan, we were surprised at a lot of remains which Greece boasts to the world.
We could see ruins of BC everywhere and felt as if the city itself is in the ruins.
Absorbed in seeing such world heritages, we left for the site of POSIDONIA2008 near Athens.
It is Hellenikon Exhibition Centre which was in extensive space of old airport site.

Though the period of the exhibition was six day from June 2nd, there was only an opening ceremony from evening on the first day.
Before the opening ceremony of POSIDONIA2008, that of Japan Pavilion was held.
At the ribbon cutting, Takanori Kitamura, a Japanese ambassador in Greece, participated and looked around the Japanese booth.
He visited our booth, looked at data logger and valve control system, and heard our explanation very eagerly.

After that, Costas Karamanlis, the Greece Prime Minister, and Giorgos Voulgarakis, Marine Minister, cut a ribbon and POSIDONIA2008 was opened.
|
|
|
On the second day, visitors actually started to come.
Even though our booth was in a remote place, many people came.
Many visitors were Greek and others were European, Turk and Dubai people.
There were some visitors who we only handed over the catalogues to, but many other people handled machineries and heard our explanation actually.
So we did our best to explain our system.
|
|
|
I saw 10 pupils and their teacher looking around the hall.
Perhaps they would come for field study.
I saw off them heart-warmingly wondering if some of them would be an owner for the future.
According to the announcement, total visitors of the exhibition were 17321 people and exhibitors were 1729 companies and groups more than last POSIDONIA2006.
I felt great expectation for POSIDONIA of an oceanic country, Greece.

Sea Japan 2008 April 9-11,2008

KEI SYSTEM exhibited to SEA JAPAN2008.
Our system was exhibited at the leading event in the Japanese Maritime Industry, "SEA JAPAN2008" held at Tokyo Big Sight from April 9th, 2008 to the 11th.
Now we will introduce the content of KEI in the SEA JAPAN.
It was our 2nd exhibition at SEA JAPAN from SEA JAPAN2006.
It was a grand exhibition, larger than last time, showing the activity of the maritime industry.
According to the sponsor's announcement, the number of those who exhibited was 364 companies and groups, which came from 25 countries and regions.
It was a flourishing business and there were more than 17000 visitors in three days.
Though the Big Sight was extensive, its hall was crowded with many exhibitors and visitors.
People related to maritime affairs around the world introduced the most advanced technology and products and the scene where they exchanged information could be seen here and there.

Many people came to visit our booth and heard a presentation about the products and technology deliberately though it was a small booth in a big hall.

This is a data logger system exhibited that time.

A local box which can hold the interface units was also exhibited.

And, this is a hazard robot which was first introduction this time.
It is a self-propelled inboard robot which can prevent the inboard fire beforehand.
The independent running robot whose duty is to detect the inboard danger in the severe environment and condition is the first attempt in the world.

Actually, it was made to autonomous run in the booth, and everybody saw the movement.
Though many people said "Is it a cleaning robot?", we explained the characteristics and purpose of the robot, so they understood what it is.
But it is still a prototype robot and necessary to develop from now on.
Nevertheless I felt various possibilities by seeing and talking with many people.

Many people visited the booth of KEI for the exhibition period of three days, and they saw an actual system.
SEA JAPAN2008's scale grew more than SEA JAPAN held two years ago.
In this exhibition, I felt a hot glance of the people who came to our booth and a big expectation for the products of in the big hall.
We want to make every effort to develop the technology product in order to answer the expectation of everybody even in the next exhibition.

Marintec China 2007 November 27-30,2007

KEI System has participated in Marintec China 2007 held in Shanghai China from November 27, 2007 to the 30th.
Let me introduce the international exhibition that KEI joined since SMM2006 held in Germany in 2006.

14th Marintec China 2007 begins since started in 1981.

People were surprised at the high operation performance when operating actual products.

Marintec China 2007 was the first time for KEI System to join in Marintec China.
In the exhibition sponsor's announcement, there were more than 4,000 visitors from overseas and 30,000 or more from China. This figure was a historical figure of 17% increase from the last Marintec China 2005.
Many people visited our booth in a flourishing exhibition, and the exhibition was a nice and busy one. It could feel the power of China in ardent posture of the visitor who came to our booth one after another. The exhibition of four days held in Shanghai was a huge success.
Marintec China 2007 was an exhibition that renewed our decision to pour further power into developing better systems, without forgetting a big expectation for our systems and the power of Marintec China 2007.

KEI System exhibited to SMM2006 September 26-29,2006

KEI system exhibited to SMM2006 (shipbuilding, machinery & marine technology international trade fair) held in Germany Hamburg from September 26, 2006 to the 29th.
Here introducing the appearance of SMM2006 that was the second single exhibition for KEI following SeaJapan held in April, 2006.

A huge propeller was set up at the main entrance of the SMM hall, and that attracted a lot of people passing by.
|

It was able to see posters of SMM everywhere in Hamburg.
It was felt the strong eagerness of Hamburg, the world foremost port city, to make the SMM successful.

SMM2006 has set up a new attendance record.
|
SMM2006 was the 22nd holding this year, the world's largest scale exhibition.
There were 1669 exhibitors from 50 countries, and were 45000 or more visitors that became its new attendance record.

The wide hall was full of people who were busy visiting each companies with the latest technology,
just as Jurgen Kennemann, Chairman of the SMM Advisory Board saying "the SMM 2006 was more successful
than any of the previous events.
And a particularly striking feature is that advanced technology in the shipbuilding industry is generating more
and more interest among the younger visitors, too."

KEI System exhibited the data logger and valve control system.

Moreover, a local box, which was not exhibited at SeaJapan in April, where ILS (I/O modules) are put was exhibited.
It was able to hear a number of voices at surprise by the actual box with the light and small size of ILS and the simplified wirings.

We KEI with the cooperation of Japanese Marine Equipment Association (JSMEA), exhibited as a single booth.
The content of the exhibition was the Data logger and the Valve control system.
KEI-3240 CPU (main computer), AGU IV; (graphic controller), and the color laser printer and the notebook computers (cable and wireless), etc. were exhibited.

A lot of visitors ardently listened to our explanation.
|
|
Many people visited our small booth of KEI. Among them, there were a few people looked for our booth in the huge hall and came at last.
We happily had many visitors who ardently took pictures of KEI products, and listened to us attentively taking some notes. We spent intent time explaining our systems.
During this large-scale exhibition for 4 days, we KEI also had time to visit other booths.
We spent time gathering information of the technology and researching new products.

Sea Japan 2006 Exhibition
KEI SYSTEM exhibited at SeaJapan 2006 held in Tokyo Big sight for three days from April 5th 2006 until 7th.
Although it was the first time to exhibit alone for KEI, which ended as a great success

SeaJapan2006 begun grandly
332 enterprise and groups from 24 countries participated, and the boom of a present marine transportation
and the shipbuilding industry was reflected in Japanese biggest international maritime exhibition,
SeaJapan2006 that celebrated the seventh times in this year from the first holding in 1994.
On behalf of the organizers, representative director of CMP Japan Mr. Christopher Eve declared the opening,
"I sincerely wish SeaJapan to promote international cooperation, an international trade,
and further growth of the maritime industry in the world".
Mr. Masahiro Tsuji, the chairman of Japanese Marine Equipment Association greeted on behalf of Japanese expositors,
saying that "I hope this SeaJapan will be fruitful for you and be a place where people from Japan and overseas can exchange the information".

There were indeed a lot of visitors through three days, and we explained the KEI product ardently.
All the people listened ardently, and we explained the feature of the KEI product plainly while actually operating the equipment.
People had a chance to see the speed of excellent operations and the screen display speed that cannot be seen on catalogs.

New feature, Voice Alarm

A new function had been added to the KEI-3240 data logger system in preparation for this SeaJapan2006.
That is Voice Alarm function
In the ordinary systems, the name and the state of an abnormal location were displayed on the screen when something abnormality occurred onboard and it informed of abnormality with the buzzer onboard.
We developed the new function to tell an abnormal location and the state by the voice.
Beforehand, KEI staff had recorded the name and the state at several points with a mike connected to the main computer.
For it was a prototype for the exhibition, it was made to change the state at several points.
In an actual exhibition site, the voice output signal from the main computer was connected with the speaker of TV and the Voice Alarm was exhibited. And the reaction of the Voice Alarm was very positive from the people visited KEI booth.
There were several opinions about the Voice Alarm function. "It is effective to improve the efficiency of work to understand an abnormal location even if we don't see the screen display. ", "Because the voice is repeated until the acknowledge button is pushed, we can surely understand where abnormality has occurred."
Moreover, there were visitors who showed the idea by a new conception, too.
"How about using the voice alarm function not only for the warning but also a guidance element? For instance, using the function to note people what to do to start a pump?"
Such new idea was able to be heard because we participated in a big exhibition like SeaJapan, and people saw the actual product.
We would like to make up a better system while exchanging opinions by all means with many people in the future.
For that, participating in an international exhibition like SeaJapan, and having been concluded quite successfully made us to feel confidence. And we renewed out intension to develop more excellent system that can get more customer's satisfaction.

KEI System participated in VIETSHIP2006 held in Vietnam.
VIETSHIP2006, from February 21, 2006 to the 24th in capital Hanoi in Vietnam, was the third holding international exhibition.
|
Sponsoring was by VINASHIN, and KEI this time received arrangements from KANEMATSU CORPORATION and exhibited the KEI product partially in the booth of NYK Trading Corporation.
VINASHIN (Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group-Vietnam government-run enterprise. The main business is shipbuilding, ship-repair, and manufacturing of an oceanic structure, etc.
It has the shipyard of 25 in its subsidiary)

Appearance of participants and visitors who gathered in the grand opening ceremony.
A lot of European attaches attended.

In the exhibition, a lot of foreign firms such as Germany, Denmark, Norway, China,
and South Korea also participated as well as the enterprise related to the shipyard of the
VINASHIN subsidiary in local Vietnam.
The sponsor announced the booth of about 200 exhibited each product in .
In the sponsor's announcement, about 40,000 people for four days visited this exhibition.
Many people came to our booth for the visit every day.

The majority visited our booth were the people related to the Vietnam shipbuilding and they listened to us very ardently.
There were a lot of visitors of woman especially and they collected catalogs and ardently listened to the explanation.
It seemed that many visitors were attracted though the equipment that moves and KEI equipments can change the graphics very fast.
A lot of visitors actually operated our equipment during the period.
People were interested in the point "Compact but Multifunction" of the system.
The notebook computer that installed special software was also exhibited in the wireless network.
We explained the KEI product to a person in charge from an enterprise in South Korea
that had exhibited liquid side meter simple system and he was really surprised that KEI has a great performance in such a small computers.

VIETNAM MARITIME UNIVERSITY
|
During VIETSHIP2006, there was a chance to visit VIETNAM MARITIME UNIVERSITY (VIMARU),
KEI and VIMARU have been having a good relationship since before.

| VIETNAM MARITIME UNIVERSITY is in Haiphong, it is about three hours in car from Hanoi. |
|
We had a conference with the university president Dr. Dang Van Uy.

The president Dr. Uy has experiences as a chief engineer for about 10 years,
and he knows well about the inboard equipment.
The president Uy came to Japan and told us he had a shock to see the computer of KEI; Compact but Multifunction.

Teacher Pham Ngoc Tiep guided the university very kindly.
It made us to feel that teachers must work hard to bring up the student independently in the school,
the education of many fields was necessary.
|
There was an offer from Dr. Tiep that they want even better cooperation with KEI
that is the authority of the computer network.
We will cooperate of course by all means.
|
We visited classes, and it was impressive in the classroom that all the students were studying very seriously.
It was possible to look for a lot of depth of the relation between Japan and Vietnam to the equipment maintained by the cooperation of Japan such as JICA.
They kindly guided us in the university spending their busy time though it was a sudden visit.

In the dinner party together with the president wife, we had very delicious food like crabs and prawns, etc,
they are familiar to Japanese.
The Vietnamese rice vodka (49 degrees) is supreme in its elegant taste and the smell.
We also had "Mother's Breast Fruit" in the dinner party.
The Mother's Breast Fruit is Milk Fruit or Milk Apple in English, it is a fruit named "Vu sua" in Vietnamese.
"Sua" means "Milk" and "Vu" is "Mother's breast".
It is "Mother's Breast Fruit" because soup like white milk comes out
when we massage well the fruit by hands before eating. It was sweet and very delicious.
